This is a letter of recommendation for Danielle Fulton;
Danielle was hired as the director of retail for our apparel company on August 11, 2007. At that
time we were in the early stages of launching our retail concept of Prana company stores with the
plan of opening 50 stores in the next 5 years. Danielle was solely responsible manifesting this
concept from it's inception to overseeing the daily operations of each store.
Her responsibilities included;
• Input to store location, design, traffic flow
• Hiring of managers and store personnel and maintaining company culture
• Overseeing the buying of Prana inventory and third party vendors
• Complete financial accountability
• Regular performance reporting to Prana management
Due to the poor economic conditions, we decided to put a halt to our retail expansion plans, close
one of the two existing stores and stop the build out on our third store. With only one operating
store in the plan for the next few years, we made the tough decision to let Danielle go from our
roster. This was one of the toughest decisions that we have had to make here at Prana, because
Danielle was perfectly suited for the role and performed well beyond our expectations. With one
operating store it didn't make financial sense to keep a 'Director of Retail' on the payroll and
Danielle was over qualified to inherit the store manager role.
Danielle is an incredibly talented woman who can multi task like no one we've seen. She is
thorough, professional, will run through walls to get the job done and a joy to work with. She was
an extremely valuable asset to our business and is a team player all the way.
