  2. 2. What is a SIPOC? A SIPOC is a method for looking at the role of the stakeholders and the processes that they play a critical role in whether the process is a success

  4. 4. SIPOC Components Stakeholders – A stakeholder is any entity that influences the process in any fashion. Stakeholders are both internal and external in nature. Understand there is a difference between Stakeholder and Shareholder. While both involve investment only the stakeholder goes beyond owning a piece of the organization.
  5. 5. SIPOC Components Inputs – Look back at your list of stakeholders. Which ones are critical to HR and what do they contribute? Their contribution is the input Example: Hiring manager (internal stakeholder) contributes or their input is the job requisition
  6. 6. SIPOC Components Processes – From the list of inputs consider which steps in the hiring process those contributions apply to? Look at your hiring process and see which inputs have a direct bearing on the process being completed successfully
  7. 7. SIPOC Components Outcomes – Consider the stakeholders and what they bring to the hiring process. From there consider what the process is served by the input. Finally if the input is introduced to the process what is the result of doing so. These are your outcomes.
