Symbols and Allusions By: Shane Farley, Coby Sippel, Dimetrius Casares, Alex Adranly Symbol  -  something used for or regarded as representing  something else  Allusion  - A passing reference to historical or fictional characters, places, or events, or to other works that the writer assumes the reader will recognize.                                                                         
    2. 2. Symbols Radio - shows how big the trial became and the rapid technological advancement of the early 20th century. Golden Dancer - it was a shiny and coveted toy but underneath the surface it was poorly made.
    3. 3. Allusion <ul><li>Hornbeck- &quot;Step right up, and get your tickets for the Middle Ages! You only thought you missed the Coronation of Charlemagne&quot; (3. 1. 114). </li></ul><ul><li>  </li></ul><ul><li>  Since brady says that Gods speaks to him, Charlemagne also said that God spoke to him to be emperor. </li></ul>
