  2. 2.  Battleship The film has an official website www.battleshipmovie .com and when on the site the trailer plays automatically. The website tries to get the audience involved; it has games that could also be accessed through Facebook, also the film released games on DS in 3D On the official website it shows current twitter feeds, where people talk about the film – which is basically free promoting. The official website, also gives you a link to the official YouTube account which also contains the trailer and comments from the audience.

Release The film was released on the 11th of April, which was during half term in the Easter holidays, which meant it could reach their targeted demographic audience who would be on holiday at the time and this was the same worldwide, the film had a saturated release, which means it was all released at the same time internationally. This is the official poster for battleship.
  4. 4.  Battleship has an all star cast, most of the are known internationality and the main star Liam Neeson is British so this would attract a British audience, also he is well known from another action movie; taken. Rihanna also appeared on daybreak to promote the film and also tweeted about how fun it was to film.

The film can already be found on some illegal sites online.  The film can also be pre ordered on Xbox 360 live. The game for the movie will also be available on PlayStation 3, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo Wii
