SinceNasser’s death in 1970, the economy has becomemore open and the government has launchedvarious reform programs aimed at attractingforeign investment and encouraging growth”(Egypt).

Paraphrasing When you have textthat you need toparaphrase, considerthese tips: Reread the original passage until you understand itsfull meaning. Change the sentence structure. Use key words from the original. While you need toparaphrase in your words, you cannot, and need not,substitute a different word for every word in theoriginal. Attribute the author and the page number directlyafter the paraphrased text.
