  3. 3. LanguageIn the Bahamas the people speak English.Phrase: “No problem mon”This influences the U.S. not as much as if they would speak a foreign language because if we need to make an agreement then we can understand them.
  4. 4. FoodIn the Bahamas they eat a lot of sea food. Such as Conch, a shell fish similar to an oyster.The U.S. does not eat a ton of sea food so there is not much of a connection.

You could die from infectious diseases like cholera or from "natural" causes, and medical technology was so poor that most patients were treated at home. In the US we all have health care. And if we do get sick we have doctors to help you by giving you medicine.
