Time management

  1. 1. EFFECTIVE USE OF SELF MANAGEMENT By: Candice Shah
  2. 2. TIME MANAGEMENT CHART Effective Time Management 3 % 18.18% Quadrant I Quadrant II Quadrant III Quadrant IV 48.48% 30.30% It can be seen that most activities occurred in Quadrant III, it has the highest percentage out of all the other quadrants.
  3. 3. QUADRANT 1 ANALYSIS  In this quadrant, ef fective use of time was spent doing critical projects and assignments.  Although this quadrant has the second to least percentage of time management, it has helped form better time management skills to get tasks done on time and ef fectively.  It has improved time management skills and has given a productive way or finishing assigbments
  4. 4. QUADRANT II ANALYSIS  The second highest percentage was in Quadrant II, it had 30.30%.  A majority of the time spent in these activities were used ef fectively.  Many homework assignments and projects were ef fectively finished.  Planning out work for the day was one of the activities included in this quadrant.  This quadrant has helped create a better time management schedule and better organization skills.
  5. 5. QUADRANT III ANALYSIS     Most of the activities were spent in Quadrant III. These activities fall under not important/urgent. Several distractions occurred in these activities. Homework distractions and friend distractions are included in this quadrant.
  6. 6. QUADRANT IV ANALYSIS  This quadrant only had 3.03% which is pretty well for time management.  In this quadrant, it falls under Not Important/Urgent.  There was not much time spent in this quadrant because there were other activities that had more priorities than leisure activities.
  7. 7. COMPARISON OF QUADRANTS  Most of the activities spent should have been spent in Quadrant II.  There were a couple of distractions while doing some assignments.  Under Quadrant IV, it is stated that is an escape from responsibilities and although there was some distraction, the assignments were still able to be completed, therefore it would fall under Quadrant III.  I would like most of my time management to be mostly in Quadrant II.  Quadrant II illustrates what an ef fective time management person should resemble.
  8. 8. STRENGTHS VS. WEAKNESSES  Some strengths include, determining the majority of my important tasks.  Prioritizing my tasks.  Keeping everything organized.  Save the best time for important tasks.  Setting deadlines.  Reach closure on at least one thing every day.  Schedule personal time.
  9. 9. STRENGTHS VS. WEAKNESSES  Some weaknesses include making a list of things to perform each day.  Doing several things simultaneously.  Keep track of time use  Continually worrying.
  10. 10. CONCLUSION  Overall, I would love to make a more ef ficient use of my time.  Time management is crucially important, not just in the business world but in every day life.  Learning to take on several tasks at once is not a good idea because it causes a loss of focus.  Improving time management skills will help people become better at performing daily activities.  An ef fective use of time management will not only help organization skills and planning but it will help create one more ef ficient person at a time.
