  2. 2. What are tables? <ul><li>A simple way to organize information using rows and columns to align data in an easy-to-read format. </li></ul><ul><li>Sample 1: Internet Search Engines </li></ul><ul><li>Sample 2: Smartphone Comparison (notice the use of graphics within the table) </li></ul>
  3. 3. Parts of a Table <ul><li>Main Heading (Primary Heading) — Keyed in all capital letters, this is the main title of the table. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Parts of a Table <ul><li>Secondary Heading (Sub Heading) — Keyed in initial capital letter, this heading, if used, appears a double space below the main heading and above the column headings/body. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Parts of a Table <ul><li>Columnar Headings — Used to identify the data in each column of a table, they appear underlined and immediately above the column data. </li></ul>
