  • RLX Survey: This work will provide a valuable resource for the industry and key partners (including government, road, rail and transport agencies). It will also provide a basis for identifying further research opportunities. Safety Culture Change: The broad aim of this project is to build a best practice model for safety culture management within the rail environment through the evaluation and development safety cultural metrics and the development of new techniques for the dissemination of cultural information. Analytic tools: Rapid advancements in train control and in-cab technologies provide opportunities for rail operators to improve efficiency and enhance operations. However, new technologies are a significant form of risk. This project aims to develop a toolkit of methods that human factors specialists can use to evaluate new technologies before they are implemented.
