  2. 2. Immigration defined… <ul><li>According to Webster's dictionary, Immigration is- To enter and settle in a country or region to which one is not native. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Thesis Statement <ul><li>Although Society is against treating immigrants fairly, the Catholic Church believes each person should be treated with respect and dignity. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Pro-Immigration <ul><li>According to CNN, “Legalization of the unauthorized immigrants in the United States would raise wages, increase consumption, create jobs and generate more tax revenue.“ </li></ul>

  7. 7. Anti-Immigration <ul><li>Most of society is against immigrants and believes that they take up jobs and leave many Americans poor or without jobs. </li></ul><ul><li>This may be the cause of certain things, but they also help countries that they immigrate to. </li></ul>

Religious Aspects <ul><li>Catechism of the Catholic Church paragraph #2241 states that “ Access to employment and to professions must be open to all without unjust discrimination ” </li></ul><ul><li>This means that everyone deserves and needs to be able to have a job or career and that people shouldn’t be judged. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Religious Aspects continued <ul><li>So, in conclusion, the Catholic Church believes that every one are children of God and deserve to be treated equally. </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>Overall, the Catholic Church is opposed to the wrong treating of foreigners . </li></ul>
