PEMBERTON[CS]
  4. 4. THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST BRILLIANT MILITARY CAMPAIGNS OF THE WAR. WITH THE LOSS OF PEMBERTONS ARMY THE CONFEDERACY WAS SPLIT IN HALF THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 37,532 CASUALTIES (4,835 UNION AND 32,697 CONFEDERATES)

  10. 10. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 158,300 OF CASUALTIES IN THIS BATTLE 83,289 UNION AND 75,054 CONFEDERATE  THE COMMADERS OF THIS BATTLE WERE MJR GEN GEORGE MEADE [US] AND GEN ROBERT E. LEE [CS]  AT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS BATTLE LINCOLN MADE HIS FAMOUS SPEECH “THE GETTYSBURG ADDRESS”.
