My the visuals that I could use and made only concern was the an overall sketch of what my project distance of the clinic will be about. being almost forty minutes away. Commentary: I was nervous upon asking Monica to be my facilator. There was not a doubt in my mind that she would not say yes; however, it still made me slightly nervous because I did not want to become a burden upon her already hectic working schedule.

She was able to walk and I also wish I would using a walker with assistance. I have taken notes, because watched her play games to perform it being the first session certain exercises. that I observed it was more than I thought it would be to take in. Commentary: It was hard for me to know what was occurring at all times. In the session I was unaware that through the games that Monica was playing along with Kyra, they were actually working on improving her mobility with even her being unaware of it.
  3. 3. Date/Time: Activity: Comment/Suggestions:December 20, 2011 It was very difficult to Watched Monica Rank perform her know what to do, where5 ½ Hours sessions with three different patients to sit, and how to interact and another learning therapist. because the setting was unusual to what I had expected. Commentary: Drove to Walker therapy in Gainesville and watched Monica with a young girl named Kyra. I watched many sessions throughout the day; however, my main reason of attending the day was to observe Kyra because she was the young girl in which I was going to perform my progressive study upon.
  4. 4. Date/Time: Activity: Comment/Suggestions: I observed Monica with her new There was anotherJanuary 17, 2012 assistant therapist. She performed her assistant therapist there; regular four sessions thorough the therefore, it allowed meTime: day, but just with another person to get a lot more4 ½ Hours observing her also. I watched a session information because in the regular therapy room not only Monica was filling her in with Kyra but also with another on all of her patient’s young boy. Then I also observed two background information. aquatic sessions at the pool. Commentary: I find the regular therapy more intriguing because there are more activities and stretches that can be performed with the children when they are on land. The aquatic therapy was very interesting through because the children who did not have much mobility upon land gained more as they were placed in the water.
  5. 5. Date/ Time: Activity: Comment/Suggestions: Drove to Walker Therapy and This session wasFebruary 9, 2012 observed Monica’s various sessions. I probably the one that I watched Kyra’s session; however, it enjoyed the most,6 Hours was not what it usually is which is because I got to spend focused around her exercises. On this one on one time with day Monica adjusted Kyra’s Kyra. She is an amazing wheelchair and took measurements to little girl and I loved just ensure that she was in proper entertaining her in position. I hung out with Kyra and whatever way I could. entertained her while Monica did so. I still watched to see what she was doing but I also played with Kyra entertaining her. I helped her walk holding her up and moving her step by step so I could feel how difficult and how much support she needs to do so. Commentary: I had seen a lot of the exercise part of therapy but I liked getting to see Monica adjust the wheel chair. It gave me insight to what it is like to have to work with the assistance providing devices also.
  6. 6. Date/Time: Activity: Comment/Suggestions: I observed Kyra walk with crutches The progress she hadFebruary 23,2012 independent for the first time. made shocked me and made me want to be able to make that difference in children’s lives.Time:3 Hours Commentary: Her walking with crutches took my breath away. When I first observed her she was barely able to walk with a walker.
