The Empowered Leader’s Litany* I am a visionary, I can excite and inspire my team I communicate well; I believe listening is as important as talking I set tough business challenges, but make sure people have the information, skills and resources to deliver I am clear what needs to be achieved, but allow others to decide how to do it I develop individuals and build teams I encourage participation and value diversity I trust people to deliver within agreed boundaries and limits I set a few key controls which everyone knows and understands I seek to create win-win situations at every opportunity I am open and approachable and value feedback I am clear and consistent about my own values and beliefs, and the people I work with know where I stand I believe I will never stop learning *or how to be a smug narcissist in 12 simple steps!
