The present study provides an in-depth analysis of the Near Field Communication (NFC),
which is an application of the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology mainly
dedicated to mobile devices for exchange, reading and broadcast of information. In
Business to Consumer or Business to Business relations, the NFC applications are
numerous, as well as the benefits that each key actor can make out of it. Specialized in
RFID solutions, Belgian-based RFIDEA company considers offering solutions based on NFC
technology to companies willing to improve their communication process, their
productivity and the quality of their services. However, even if the NFC solutions can
certainly bring an added value to a company and be applied to various fields, they don’t
bring a global solution to each problem of a particular business. Other techniques have
proved to be even more efficient.
