  • These are plans I led in the development of at Mission Federal. I have studied and led successful planning at all levels of credit unions, including strategic, tactical, budget, execution and marketing.
  • Great ads, as in all effective marketing, get attention, reflect great businesses and are simple. Bad ads are too busy, show ego and don’t get noticed. The skinny guy in the suit (having been one myself) is not the problem. The ad is cluttered and the testimonial, which can often work well, lacks any energy!
  • Great ads and marketing reflect the business and service communicated. They are simple, aesthetic, lead to a response and get through! It takes both creative instincts and analytic detail to make them work. The Island Bank, the Martha’s Vineyard National Bank, reflected the environment, the people and over 100 years of service. First in marketing, old school in service, our advertising brought the island and the business together. We spurred double digit growth for five years. First City Focus at First City CU in LA, caught attention, and brought in business when other banks and credit unions were going fetal in the teeth of the financial storm. We also brought back SEGS, unified the team as a sales and business development unit, brought in “A” paper loans, sparked external growth and led a successful merger.
  • Good” promotions get results. CU ROOTS was a good idea that was having trouble getting to market. I helped kick the business into gear by aligning the team in the development of our plan. The brand and message were the easy part. We had a lot of fun at Tech Fed tweaking the banks, appealing to the entrepreneurial spirit of Silicon Valley and building our business lines.
  • Here testimonials work and also reflected the bright creative print we produced in-house!
  • . The “Plastic Dinosaur” story hit all media for its creativity and results including the WALL STREET JOURNAL.
  • Money Market Plus, appealing to a high-end consumer at the The Bank of California, made it through the layers from Tokyo to San Francisco and brought what became core deposits that later bridged into real estate leveraging and loans.
