  1. 1. STEPS TO FOLLOW WHEN SUBMITTING (INSCRIBIR) YOUR APPLICATION ONLINE ON PROFEX First, choose Auxiliares de Conversación on the main menu at the left. Then click Presentación Solicitudes, select 2011 – Auxiliares de conversación extranjeros en España from the drop down menu, then click the Nueva solicitud button. This will bring you to the actual application. 1
  2. 2. The top portion Requisitos/Requirements is necessary to fill out each section before proceeding. Only check the first, free-standing box if you were an assistant in a prior academic year, i.e. 2009-10, 2007-08 (not 2010-11). Check off each box 1-5. You do not need to upload documents here; however, you will send these and other required documents in hard copy format to your corresponding office. The bottom portion allows you to add other pertinent information or documents. This part is not required. 2
  3. 3. After the first page is complete push Siguiente at the top of the page and it will then take you to the screen below. Click the check mark on the right to access the regional preferences. You may only choose one region per column. Click one region per column and then number the columns 1-3 according to preference. 3
  4. 4. Once you have finished click Guardar Datos and you will be taken to the following screen. Click Siguiente to finish the process or Volver a la lista de solicitudes to go back to the main page for the application. 4
  5. 5. IF YOU CLICKED SIGUIENTE: This is the last and in a way most important screen. Fill out the columns as they correspond to you personally. When you have finished go to the top and CLICK INSCRIBIR SOLICITUD. Now your application is officially electronically submitted! Don’t forget to send your hard copy documents to the appropriate office (see Manual). *Leave this portion of the page blank. It does not apply to new applicants. 5
  6. 6. Check off box 1. Indicate which language you would like to teach. You may select more than one if you are French Canadian. Check off box 2. Select your current marital status. 6
  7. 7. Only check off box 3 and its corresponding answer if you have selected a status other than single/soltero. Check off box 4 and specify which level you’d like to teach at. 7
  8. 8. Check off box 5 and specify what type of neighborhood you’d like to be placed in. Please remember that all these are only preferences. We do our best to honor your preferences but cannot accommodate all requests. Scroll up and click INSCRIBIR! Don’t forget to print out the PDF page (see below). 8
  9. 9. IF YOU NEED TO FINISH THE APPLICATION AT A LATER DATE: Pick the 2011 extranjeros option and click “buscar”. This will pull up the application you have started working on. You may modify and/or finish the application by clicking the pen icon. To INSCRIBIR click the thick check mark at the far right. NOTE: This main application page is where you will create the PDF to sign and send with the rest of your hard copy documents. Simply click Generar PDF solicitud where the Adobe PDF icon is. 9
