Asia Food Asian cuisine styles can be broken down into several regional styles that have roots in the peoples and cultures of those regions. The major types can be roughly defined as East Asian with its origins in Imperial China and now encompassing modern Japan and the Korean peninsula and Southeast Asian which encompasses Cambodia , Laos , Thailand , Viet Nam , Brunei , Indonesia , Malaysia , Singapore , and the Philippines .
Foods Pilaf- is a dish in which rice is cooked in a seasoned broth (zirvak). Döner kebab- is a Turkish dish made of lamb meat (mainly) cooked on a vertical spit and sliced off to order.
Foods Chicken Tikka- Chicken Tikka is traditionally baked skewers with small pieces of chicken, usually boneless, in a clay based oven called tandoor, after marinating inspices and yogurt. Hummus- is a Levantine Arab dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas, blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic. It is a popular food throughout the Middle East and elsewhere.
Foods Peking Duck- Peking Duck, or Peking Roast Duck is a famous duck dish from Beijing that has been prepared since the imperial era, and is now considered one of China's national foods. Sushi- Sushi is a Japanese dish consisting of cooked vinegared rice which is commonly topped with other ingredients, such as fish or other seafood, or put into rolls.
Foods South Indian Dosa- Dosa is a fermented crepe or pancake made from rice batter and black lentils. Hoppers from Sri Lanka- Appam, Aappam Hoppers, are a type of food in Tamil, Nadu, Kerala and Sri Lankan cuisine.
