THE 1453 PANORAMIC MUSEUM
The 1453 Panoramic Museum creates a three
dimensional depiction of the conquest of Istanbul by the
Ottoman Empire on 29th May 1453.
The 1453 Panoramic Museum was created with
the help of eight artists and offers a full panorama-
in vertical as well as horizontal order- of this
important historical battle. The domed roof is also
painted to create the illusion of a sky.
This incredibly detailed piece of artwork has
almost 10,000 detailed figures of Ottoman and
Byzantine soldiers; the same number of live
models were used in the painting process.
