  3. 3. What is aggression? <ul><li>Definition of aggression from „Sport Science and Medicine” Encyclopedia. </li></ul><ul><li>Behaviour intended to harm a person either physically or mentally. It includes physical attacks and verbal abuse. The aggression may be against another person (extropunitive behaviour) or against oneself (intropunitive behaviour). It does not include unintentionally harming another person or doing destructive violence to an inanimate object. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Fight against aggression in some kinds of painting: <ul><li>Posters </li></ul><ul><li>Graffiti </li></ul><ul><li>Historical paintings </li></ul>
  5. 5. Posters <ul><li>Posters are very popular. We can find them almost everywhere. Apart from their popularity, another good feature is for example a fact, that a poster is a union of picture and text, so they are easy to understand. </li></ul>
  6. 6. So, a few posters…
  7. 10. Graffiti <ul><li>It is not as popular as posters. It is maybe caused by the fact, that graffiti is perceived as vandalism. However, many people who paint graffiti pictures don’t do it just to vandalise appearance of buildings, but to express their feelings and opinions in a form of a huge painting on the wall. </li></ul>
  8. 11. Now, the time for examples…
  9. 13. Historical paintings <ul><li>The subject against aggression of these pictures can be for example historical scenes of invoking the peace treaties. This kind of art is not as convincing as two previous ones, but if someone is emotionally sensitive, historical paintings will work. </li></ul>
