Collections Trust MDO Briefing Day: Association of Independent Museums

  1. 1. The Association of Independent Museums is the national UK body connecting, supporting and representing independent museums. AIM has grown to become a respected sector group, consulted on national policy and providing a thriving network for members
  2. 2. <ul><li>Aim is a membership organisation. </li></ul><ul><li>Currently 862 members </li></ul><ul><li>522 are small museums (representing 50% of membership income) </li></ul><ul><li>87 medium size </li></ul><ul><li>64 are large </li></ul><ul><li>Other categories include co-ordinating bodies, individuals and consultants </li></ul>Small <20,000 visitors. Membership £30 Medium 20,000 to 50,000 visitors. Membership £40 Large > 50,000 visitors. Membership £70
