  3. 3. Choose and Prepare Apples <ul><li>Choose bright red apples. </li></ul><ul><li>Wash and dry thoroughly. </li></ul><ul><li>Insert a wooden skewer into the stem end of each </li></ul>
  4. 4. Prepare Glaze <ul><li>Prepare a sugar glaze by boiling together 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of boiling water. </li></ul><ul><li>Boil until a little dropped in cold water is brittle. </li></ul><ul><li>If using a candy thermometer, cook </li></ul><ul><li>to 315 degrees F. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Dip and Finish <ul><li>Dip each apple into this boiling syrup having it in a small pan so the apples can be completely submerged. </li></ul><ul><li>Stand apples on buttered plate till </li></ul><ul><li>glaze is hardened. </li></ul>Oldfashionedhomemaking.com
