everyday U.S. citizens.
It is even more significant for
people of legal voting age who
may consider a politician’s fiscal
performance or ideology an
important factor when determining
how to vote on election day.
3. THE PROJECT DESIGN
Considering the serious nature, and overall
complexity of the management of fiscal and
economic policy the resulting educational
exercise has several objectives.
• It is intended to be informative and
interactive.
• The intention is that the user develop an
understanding of the budget process.
• Upon the completion, the user will become an
informed observer and participant in the area
of budget-related matters.

The visual aspect of the
project is water on rock.
• Like water, the impact of

5. SEQUENCING & CONTENT
The WEEBLY exercise
starts with an introduction
and the opportunity to
participate in a survey.
The survey creates a
baseline of thought for the
participant. Users are
encouraged to compare
their answers to the content
they read or view in each
component of the exercise.

• Basic information is provided on each page.
• Links are also provided for more in depth
information to develop understanding.
• Interactive opportunities are made available to
enhance participation and to allow the user to create
scenarios based on their personal experience or
curiosity.
• The participant in completing the exercise is asked
to again respond to the questionnaire and evaluate
changes in perspective and any difference in
answers from the beginning of the WEEBLY.
• Finally the user is left with questions that reflect the
objectives at the beginning of the exercise.
