Of course, we have all heard, “Judge not, let ye be judged.” That doesn’t really stop any of us
from judging anyone and everyone with whom we come in contact on a regular daily basis. We
all have a definition of how and why other people should do things differently, and we are all so
sure of our judgments of other people that we cannot begin to see where the judgment leaves off
and the truth begins.
In business, any employees who still mildly protest the use of drug test equipment and alcohol
tests may find that the process reminds them of being judged. They feel as if they are being
tested on something which they should be trusted on. Of course, you know better. You know
better than to think that people should be trusted based upon the honor system alone, especially
when you employee over sixteen people in your office. There is a line which may easily be
crossed with people who are abusing substances, and you may never really know when or how
that dishonor is occurring.
We recommend our Rapid STAT saliva drug test, and the truth is that most people find it easier to
use saliva drug tests than urine drug test. It has to do with the perception of how much privacy is
being violated by having to be tested in the bathroom. This is, of course, only a perception of the
process, but generally people find it more acceptable to implement and take saliva drug tests than
it is to take urine drug tests.
While it may seem like a “Judge not” situation for some of your employees, you have to, in some
ways, execute this judgment because you are, after all, the judge of your company. You have to
protect your workers by understanding, judging, and passing decisions upon your whole
business. This is the responsibility of a good leader, especially if done well. CMM Technology
brings you all of the equipment which is necessary to bring about this decision making process,
and we are proud to be a part of your success.
