  2. 2. What to do when an earth Quake strike <ul><li>If you are at school the best thing to do would be to hide under the desks. </li></ul><ul><li>You could run out on to the feild. </li></ul><ul><li>Or you can lay down in the open space and covert your head like a turtle. </li></ul>
  3. 3. What is an earth Quake <ul><li>An earthquake is when you can fell a huge shake on the ground. </li></ul><ul><li>An earthquake like an shake on the ground but much havier and harder. </li></ul>

How does it work <ul><li>It works by the plates hiting each other and making an earth Quake </li></ul><ul><li>The Earth is made up of a number of layers (including the core) that radiate outwards at different depths and sizes. </li></ul><ul><li>The surface of the Earth is the layer called the crust, and the crust is divided into many segments called plates. </li></ul>

Facts <ul><li>The largest recorded earthquake in the world was a magnitude 9.5 (Mw) in Chile on May 22, 1960. </li></ul><ul><li>The earliest reported earthquake in California was felt in 1769 by the exploring expedition of Gaspar de Portola while the group was camping about 48 kilometres (30 miles) southeast of Los Angeles </li></ul>
