Educational Trip to London July 2011

  1. 1. London 2011 July 12-1812/7 • Visit to Agias Sophias church, explored the area. • Hyde Park (played football).13/7 • Horse Guards, Buckingham Palace (we watched the changing of the guard). • St James Park. • Trafalgar square with Nelsons Column. • 10 Downing Street, the Prime Ministers house. • Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. • Piccadilly Circus with the statue of Eros. • London Bridge and Tower of London.14/7 • Thames cruise. • Greenwich-visited the Royal observatory of Greenwich, on the way back we visited the city of London where the offices of the richest people in the world are. We saw the building with Reuters offices. Then we went to Oxford Street for shopping. • Also at Greenwich we visited St Paul and Peters church where lady Diana used to go, and Nelsons house with the beautiful paintings on the walls.
  2. 2. 15/7 • We went to Cambridge and saw the colleges and universities. • The children went punting on the river Cam. • They went shopping.16/7 • It was a rainy day Saturday in London. In the morning we visited Chelsea football field. • Then in the afternoon we watched the play “We will rock you” at the Dominion theater.17/7 • We went to Agias Sophias church and attended the service. • We went to Millennium Dome in Greenwich. • We visited the Natural History Museum with the dinosaurs. • We also visited the Science Museum with Apollo spaceship. • Exploration of the British museum. • We went to Harrods shop and saw Dianas memorial in the basement.18/7 • We visited Madam Tussaud’s museum and China Town. • In the evening we left London and flew back to Athens.
