Wenn die Finanzmärkte eine Krise durchlaufen, bekunden Unternehmer insbesondere in Europa Mühe, Kapital über traditionelle Kanäle zu beschaffen. Parallel dazu schwindet das Vertrauen der privaten Investoren in traditionelle Investitionsmodelle. Dies führt zu einem wachsenden Interesse an Alternativen. Crowdfunding bietet privaten Investoren eine alternative Möglichkeit, ihr Geld zu investieren. Es erlaubt ihnen, ausgesuchte Unternehmer direkt zu unterstützen und sich schon mit bescheidenen Investitionsbeträgen als Business-Angels zu engagieren.
