  1. 1. McDonalds Corporation is the worlds largest fast food chain, primarilyselling hamburgers and fries. serving around 68 million customers daily in119 countries. The business began in 1940 as a barbeque restaurant openedby siblings Richard and Maurice McDonald.It was their introduction to the idea of ‘speedy’ service system. In 1948 thatestablished the principles of the fast-food restaurant. The first officialMcDonalds restaurant was opened in 1971 in a Sydney suburb calledYagoona, to this day there are over 780 McDonalds over Australia.

Their corporate values are toplace the customer experience at the core of what theydo, committed to their people, believe in the McDonaldssystem, operate the business ethically, give back to thecommunity, grow the business profitably and continually strive toimprove

  4. 4. McDonalds is a public company and is owned by the general public.The man put in charge of running the McDonalds Corporation (theparent company head) is their CEO Jim Skinner. McDonalds isdistributed throughout the world with franchises. Independentbuyers purchase franchises of McDonald’s stores and run thestore(s) independently.
  5. 5. McDonalds is a business that’s main service is providing afood based product. It sells its products in a fast foodcategory of restaurant and provides a large range to thepublic to choose. Their food is sold reasonably cheaply butreceives a large amount of business so make easily makeprofit. McDonalds is a world recognised brand and is foundaround the world in convenient locations.The McDonalds parent company make their profit by sellingfranchises around the world. Under the franchiseagreement, McDonalds agrees to provide the McDonaldstrademarks, restaurant decor and equipment layout. Inaddition, the franchisee can use the recipes for the firmsproducts, their stock control, accounts systems, method ofoperation, and marketing.
