2. 2.

What is UCI’s Print Management Program?

Definition:

UCI Print Management is an innovative print management system that will maximize the potential of your printer fleet while providing you peace of mind.

Our turn-key print management program will manage, service, and supply your printers allowing your organization to gain control, gain efficiencies, manage costs, and most importantly… get back to focusing on your core business.

UCI’s Print Management Key Elements will do for your business:

Supplies (toner, parts, ..all you need to feed your printers and copiers)

Software to see, monitor, fix, supply, report

Service (over the phone and on-site)

Inventory Management on Supplies

Ongoing Print Management Consulting

 3. 3.

Why UCI Print Management makes sense from an Operations and Logistics point of view

Order Flow:

An email will be generated by UCI once the device at a ship-to reaches a 15% of toner left. Our system will go out and look for any other devices in the same ship-to location that have less than 15-25% toner left to batch orders. We will auto send toner to each location that will specify contact, department, etc. UCI will track usage over 60/90/120 day period which will give us a snapshot of average usage and allow us to make inventory adjustments based on device volume.

The whole point of the program is to reduce storing toners and instead benefit from a one in one out program. This significantly reduces overhead and toners getting old on the shelf.

This will save a large amount of time for the IT department as they will no longer have to manage to the devices and reports will be generated for operations on how the fleet is being assessed.

 7. 7.

Why Managed Print Services makes sense from an IT point of view

When most employees have a problem with a device they simply print to another device or ask their IT department. This will no longer occur because we will be proactively monitoring the devices. The IT department’s job is NOT fixing printers. Let UCI do this for you.

 8. 8.

Not on My Network! UCI Managed Print Security

PrintFleet Optimizer software is secure and offers no threat to network security. PrintFleet operates through outbound communication only, and communicates to the printing devices through SNMP. Collected data is sent through HTTPS and is 128-bit encrypted using SSL protocol.

PrintFleet software only collects information on network attached devices. It cannot track information on user behavior. PrintFleet offers specific documentation in regards to network security and specific documents to supply compliancy acts such as HIPPA.

 9. 9.

Software Implementation - what is involved?

Installation Requirements

Hardware: Business Operations Server, Print Server or Desktop computer attached to the network that is powered on 24/7.

Operating System: Windows 2000/XP, Windows Server 2003.

Network Card: 100 MB or higher.

RAM: 256MB or higher.

Port 443 (HTTPS) or 80 (HTTP) or port 21 and /20 (FTP) must be open for automatic transmission of collected data.

Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Installed (secure.printfleet.com/dotnetfx2.exe)

Do NOT install the DCA on a laptop. There may be issues of unreliable access when using wireless connectivity.
