  4. 4.  Not well tolerated in horses  Used as a last result for fetus removal  Most common under general anesthesia  Complications:  Infection (Peritonitis)  Septicemia  Laminitis  Hemmorhage  Retained Placenta
  5. 5.  Primarily used for diagnosis +/- treatment of colic  Staff Requirements:  Primary surgeon  Assistant surgeon  Circulating nurse  Anesthetist  Complications:  ileus  Colitis  Peritonitis  Laminitis
  6. 6.  Displacement of part or viscous of an organ  Rectal  Protrusion through anus  Severe diarrhea or tenemus  Uterine  1st Degree-cervix in vaginal orifice  2nd Degree-cervix outside orifice  3rd Degree-entire uterus outside orifice
