  2. 2. Quest & Curiosity “Watch Me Go Paleo” is a blog that chronicles the journey of one man’s quest and curiosity. It’s a blog about more than just a diet. In fact, it’s not really about a diet at all.
  3. 3. Nutritional ResetInstead, it takes an inside out look at how our food- obsessed culture makes it challenging for anyone looking to reset themselves nutritionally.
  4. 4. How it all started“Watch me Go Paleo” was bornwhen an assignment met apersonal goal. It was the first day of class, Spring 2012, and I learned I’d have to create a blog.
  5. 5. What Should I Blog About? A co-worker’s sister and her husband had pioneered a nutritional reset program called Whole30. Based on the tenets of the paleo diet, which traces back to the cavemen era, it was something I always wanted to try.
  6. 6. ObstaclesBut every time I debated starting, something cameup. A dinner party. A holiday. A birthday. A wine tasting. A vacation.
  7. 7. A Perfect ReasonThis assignment offered the perfect reason to tacklegoing paleo. And so I did…
  8. 8. TheWhole9 Nutrition Pledge First I took this pledge: “I will eat “real” food – fresh, natural food like meat, vegetables and fruit. I will choose foods that are nutrient dense, with lots of naturally- occurring vitamins and minerals, over foods that have more calories but less nutrition. And food quality is important – I will be careful about where my meat comes from, and buy produce locally and organically as often as possible. Why? Because eating like this is good for maintaining a healthy metabolism, and reducing inflammation within the body. Going Paleo also helps to minimize my risk for a whole host of lifestyle diseases and conditions, like diabetes, heart attack and stroke.”
