RIBS tellers Rochel Coleman and 1/15 Valerie Tutson return with their moving tribute to Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement. FAMILY STORYTELLING CONCERT ~ free! 6:30–8pm, at the Kevin K. Coleman Elementary School in Woonsocket 1/19 SPOKEN WORD 9 pm, at Mixed Magic Theatre, 171 Main Street Pawtucket (Corners of Main and Roosevelt Streets) Local artists and old school poets take the stage for this popular event. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. INTERGENERATIONAL WORKSHOP ~ free! 10:30am–12noon, at Central Branch, Providence Public Library, 1/20 225 Washington Street, Prov. Mama Koku from Atlanta engages all ages in a unique style to help us tell stories together. STORYTELLING CONCERT ~ free! 1-3pm at Central Branch, Providence Public Library, 225 Washington Street, Prov. Youth performers and professional tellers provide lively entertainment for the whole family. Community MusicWorks, Rhythm and Roots Ensemble and the Eyes on the Prize Project. AFRICAN MARKET PLACE 7 pm, at RISD Auditorium, South Main Street in Providence. An opportunity to find fine cultural arts, crafts, gifts and jewelry, as well as storyteller’s products: books, CDs, RIBSwear and more. EVENING STORYTELLING CONCERT 8 pm, at RISD Auditorium, South Main Street in Providence, ages 10 and up Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at door. RISD students with ID free, $12 for RISD Museum members with ID at door.
