1. The Pomegranate
The pomegranate is the fruit of the pomegranate tree. Its interior is
divided into thin films, which form small seeds.
The pomegranate grows as a shrub or tree, depending on where it is
planted, and can reach 4 to 8 feet tall. The pomegranate tree can produce
fruit for more than 200 years.
The pomegranate has its origin in Iran and is cultivated in the
Mediterranean, Asia, Africa and Europe.
The pomegranate may help reduce blood pressure and is used in the
prevention of certain heart problems.
The pomegranate is also rich in vitamin C.
The rind of the fruit, the fruit itself, the roots and the bark have
medicinal uses in Asia and the Middle East.
