1st- Important because Hitler and Nazi Germany were a major part of the 1900’s; by showing these boys
saluting Hitler it shows that they were young and did not realize the devastation Hitler was responsible for.
2nd- Shows the brotherhood of the military because they are smiling while at war.
3rd- After the prohibition these men are throwing out whiskey since it is now legal to buy and consume.
