This requires the ability to look inside yourself and deal with your own feelings and motives. <br />To be effective, experiences must be related to your strengths, shortcomings and defenses. <br />Successful leaders know themselves. <br />Self-knowledge comes from seeking feedback from others, reflecting on what you are doing, and being honest with yourself.<br />

PLU Process<br />Phase I<br />Content and Knowledge<br />Participate in approved activities described in the PLU. <br />Activities vary based on the standard.<br />Phase II<br />Implementation and Embedding of Learning<br /> Implement learned strategies at school/district;<br />Evidence may be: log documentation; blogging<br />Phase III<br />Evaluation and Reflection<br />Reflect on knowledge gained from Professional Study and how the process can be improved<br />Evaluation/Reflection may be at Convention round tables, CLAS office, or via webcast.<br />**ALL PLUs have three phases but different requirements, a specified PLU number, and a distinct expiration date.<br />
