INDUSTRY STANDARDS
2010 • Project TUV ASPA Hologram Safety and Security
Management Standards
2015
• Working on enhancement of these
standards to next level keeping in
view the ISO 19998 and other
authentication standards including
(physical and digital security)
FACTORS BEHIND THE SUCCESS OF HOLOGRAM IN INDIA
Almost all Indian companies are adhering to ASPA code of conduct and are certified from ISO agencies for their quality
commitment. To upgrade this commitment to next level, in 2010 ASPA initiative a project called “TUV-ASPA Hologram Safety &
Security Management Systems (HSSMS)” with an aim to provide a document for developing a road map to upgrade hologram
suppliers’ facilities / process. The standard covers solely the risk management of confidentiality, integrity and availability
considering safety & security across the process of manufacturing. Now with the changes in global standards, ASPA is working on
enhancement of these standards to next level keeping in mind the digital and physical security.

FUTURE GROWTH
• Security hologram full potential can be used with integration
of other existing technologies if provided as a solutions.
• Untapped market of tobacco tax stamps and high security
applications such as currency.
• New Government mandate on Pharmaceuticals and made in
India products.
• Change of perception : Need of more awareness to brand
owners to adopt authentication solutions as a proactive step.
• Need to develop industry friendly applicators to ease the
implementation of security hologram for various sectors.
• Need more involvement on collating the data and case studies.
