The Art Of War focuses on the wiser aspects of strategizing, deception, and knowing your enemy. Sun Tzu considered war a necessary evil that should be avoided. Sun Tzu’s wars were fought swiftly to avoid economic loss. Sun Tzu’s record was 100 war related victories on 100 battles.

Even Politicians use this ancient philosophy to argue effectively against there opponents.
  5. 5. The Meaning Of It All “ To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself” (Sun Tzu, Art Of War) Sun Tzu believed that defeat depends on you as the leader, only you can prevent your own defeat and only your enemy can lead to their own downfall of defeat. “you can be sure of succeeding in your attacks if only attack places which are undefended. You can ensure the safety of your defense if you only hold position that cannot be attacked”. This tells us you will always win if you attack your enemies weakest link. But you will never lose if you make it impossible for your opponent to win.
  6. 6. The Overview Of It All The art of war was a new way of looking upon war. The famous Sun Tzu wrote this passage and based his empire off his philosophy. Till this day people around the world apply the Art Of War to their own lives and to battles fought today.
