Context The Citizen Schools Pathway 18 Schools – 100 leaders – education for 1000s of active citizens Having all been busy launching Citizen Schools, our partner schools and leaders come together to share their progress and ideas, and begin their negotiation training - essential if students' ideas for community change are really going to happen.. A 1 year development programme: Citizenship Education & Community Organising “ Role playing was first class – gave the kids a very good taste of what it would be like” – Parent “ Everything was perfect” – Student “ I loved it. We discussed a lot of issues. It gave me the chance to know what other people are doing.” – Student “ The interaction in the role-play was thought-provoking.” - Governor “ We realised that we can be successful!” – Teacher/Governor “ I got involved more than I usually would” - Student

A 1 year development programme: Citizenship Education & Community Organising <ul><li>Mix up schools and leaders as much as possible </li></ul><ul><li>Individual schools to make sure all their Citizen Schools leaders attend – schools with less than six people were at a big disadvantage </li></ul><ul><li>More food next time! </li></ul>
