  3. 3. Google Analytics • Use the free Google Analytics platform to measure results from websites and mobile applications • Go to Google Analytics with a Google account and set up tracking. Tracking code must be on each page of your site that you want tracked. • Use Wordpress plugin to easily add tracking throughout a site. • Important to use Google Analytics on an active project to best understand it. • analytics.google.com

Hootsuite Certifications • Platform is free to use at intro level • Free courses – Hootsuite Platform Training and Hootsuite Social Marketing Training - https://hootsuite.com/education/courses • Each module has a short video • Quizzes at end of each module; can have multiple answers, but they are just module reviews. • Certifications are $99 for Hootsuite Certified Expert (can get for free with Education Program); $199 for Social Marketing Certification (can get Educator discount; Social Selling Training & Certification - training & cert $299

Summary • More important to begin using these tools than it is to pass a test • Start with one training course, apply the knowledge, then seek the certification • Google Analytics – if you manage a website • Google Educator – want to learn more about how to use Google’s G-Suite of tools in education • Hootsuite – Platform training to learn about the platform; Social Marketing training is a good intro to social and progresses through more advanced topics. • Hubspot – Inbound Marketing and Content Marketing provide good general knowledge, not related to HubSpot platform • Facebook for Journalist – general intro to using Facebook professionally.
