Western civilization shifted its focus from theafterlife to life on earth. With increased humanism, culture and science becamemore secular, more realistic, and more diverse. Our modern American culture has itsroots in the humanities of Renaissance Europe. However, our culture also takesinfluences from across the world. For your final humanities paper you will (1) selecta country/region of the world other than the USA and a subject area; (2) research inthe computer lab & media center; and then (3) prepare a two-page typed paper withan additional documentation page (use noodletools.com) to share with the class. Thepaper must be a full 2 pages typed. Don’t play the margin/font games – just do agood job. You must include at least 3 print and/or database sources and 2 internetsources. The paper is worth 50 points towards your final report card grade.
