This event will showcase a report and initiative recentlyreleased by the Lincoln Institute, further info at: interest in its own right, Mr. Flint’s talk will also serve as a preview to a morelengthy presentation, which will kick off MAPD’s 2012-13 monthly luncheonseries in September!Speaker BiographyAnthony Flint is a fellow and director of public affairs at the Lincoln Institute of LandPolicy, a think tank in Cambridge, Mass. He has been ajournalist for over 20 years, primarily at The Boston Globe, a policy advisor on smartgrowth for Massachusetts state government, and a visiting scholar and Loeb Fellowat Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. He is a regular contributor to TheBoston Globe and The Atlantic Monthly’s The Atlantic Cities, as well as The NextAmerican City, Planning magazine, Planetizen,, Architecture Boston, andGlobalPost, and many other publications. In addition to contributing to the TheBoston Globe’s online commentary forum, The Angle, and This Land, a CommunityVoices blog on urban design and public space, he is author of the Lincoln Instituteblog, At Lincoln House, and the blog Developing Stories, at the authors website. Heappeared at TEDx Tampa Bay in 2011 presenting on infrastructure andneighborhoods.
