  2. 2. Magdalena Gadatsch Human Resources Learning and Development Background: Magdalena Gadatsch recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program at the Human Resources Department. Magdalena graduated in Psychology with Human Resource Management and Economy at University of Wuppertal in Germany. During her studies she gained experience in a number of fields such as development, potential analyses, training and selection process working for different companies like L’Oréal Germany. Magdalena spent the last nine month working on her final year’s project at Vodafone Compensation and Benefits. There she developed an assessment tool for job changes within the company, supporting the Talent Management of Vodafone. Project description: Magdalena’s 1st project will be on how innovative workplace practices can support Diversity & Inclusion. Back to overview of all Freshers

Patrick Renders Technology Strategy & Demand Background: Patrick Renders recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program and started his 1st project in the Technology business unit in Maastricht. Patrick did a Bachelor degree in ‘Information Technology’ at the University of higher vocational education in Eindhoven. Furthermore he finished a Master degree in ‘Management in Information Systems’ at the Roehampton University in London. His thesis’ subject was about strategic management in technologic organizations. Now he is working within the Strategy and Demand department in the Technology business unit. Project description: Patrick’s first project will involve the design and implementation of a long-term OPEX/CAPEX model, to map the OPEX and CAPEX of Technology. Back to overview of all Freshers

Renate van den Hengel CBU Marketing Communications Background: Renate van den Hengel recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program at the Consumer Business Unit within the Marketing Communications team. Renate finished her first Bachelor (Tourism Business Management) in 2004, with a specialization in Business Communication. After her completing her Bachelor degree she started working at Iveco Benelux as Commercial Communication Employee. In this position she was responsible for all communication activities in the Netherlands (PR, events and advertising). She also successfully completed (cum laude!) a Master in Commercial Communication and Publicity at the University of Amsterdam. During this she held a sales job at Pro Education. Project description: Renate’s main projects are: PCC Project lead TTL campaign for EBU PCC VAS, project lead Aveda interaction campaign, and advertorials women’s magazines. 360 Part of Marcoms project team, Spoc for Internal Communication, PR and Events. Lucas Mosmuller Finance Wholesale & Roaming Control Background: Lucas Mosmuller recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh Program at the Finance department within the team of Roaming and Wholesale control. Lucas studied at the Erasmus University, starting out with a degree in Law. While completing his bachelor, he worked as a student employee at law firms in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. During his work there he discovered that Economics was more his cup of tea. After finishing his bachelor in Economics & Business, Lucas worked as a student assistant on CEO buy-ins and completed his master Financial Economics cum laude. Project description: Lucas’ first project in the Finance Department is with Wholesale & Roaming Control. He will be designing a standard model to be used for retail roaming business cases. Solange Mui OSU New Business Development Background: Solange Mui recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh Program at the Online Service Unit department within the team of New Business Development. Solange completed a Bachelor in Business Studies at the Radboud University Nijmegen and is currently finalizing her Master thesis on compulsive buying. In this thesis she is researching the reasons for channel choice (online versus offline) of compulsive buyers. Project description: Solange’s first project involves setting up a campaign for Sanoma Womens’ magazines (Viva, Flair, Yes etc.). She is also conducting research in womens’ online shopping behaviour.   7. 7. Paul Verduin OSU Online Operations Background: Paul Verduin recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh Program at the Online Service Unit department within the team of Online Operations. He studied Information Engineering (HBO/Bachelor) at the Institute for Information Engineering in Almere followed by Information Sciences / Business Informatics (MSc) at the VU University of Amsterdam. Both studies are multidisciplinary and combine Economics, Business and Law with Computer Sciences. He wrote his thesis about webbased platforms which facilitate collaboration. Project description: Paul’s first project is about Crowdsourcing / Social Media with a special interest in Co-Creation, Customer Participation, and Brand Experience. Back to overview of all Freshers
  8. 8. Erica van Asten EBU Pricing Background: Erica van Asten recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh Program at the Enterprise Business Unit department within the Pricing team. Erica completed a Master degree in International Business Administration at the University of Maastricht. During the course of her studies Erica went on two international exchanges; she studied in Thailand for 8 months and in the United States for 6 months. During her studies Erica worked intermittently at different Vodafone customer service departments (Postpaid, SME desk, Distribution services) over a period of 3 years. Due to her growing interest in telecommunications took Erica the opportunity to write her master thesis in the Quality Management department of Vodafone. After finishing her degree Erica worked in Calgary, Canada for one year as an International Marketing Specialist at SMART Technologies. Her main responsibilities were the marketing management of the Turkish market and the organization of two Global Education Technology Summits. Project description: Erica’s projects in the Pricing department will initially focus on the creation of a Central Pricing repository & Standard Reporting Model. Back to overview of all Freshers

Christal Milton Corporate Affairs Internal Communications & Change Background: Christal Milton recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh Program at the Corporate Affairs department within the Internal Commuications & Change team. She completed her Masters degree in International Business Administration from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, and went on an international exchange to Aston Business School in Birmingham, UK to gain (more) international experience. Because of her interest in the digital landscape she wrote her Masters thesis about participation in online communities, and subsequently started working as Digital Brand Coordinator for Nike EMEA. Project description: Christal's first project will involve setting up an internal social network for Vodafone Netherlands 'The Vodafone Way Café' and to create an action plan for this social network.   10. 10. Ruud Kammeraad Finance Investment Appraisals Background: Ruud Kammeraad recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program at the Finance department within the Investment Appraisals team. After finishing his Secondary Education Ruud went to Oxford, England, to study English. In England he completed a minor in Economics, which eventually led to his decision to start a Bachelor of Economics and Law in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Where, after his Bachelor, he also completed his Master in International Economics and Business. Project description: Ruud started his first project at Vodafone in the Finance Department at Investment Appraisals. Yenni Setiawan Technology Network & Service Platforms Background: Yenni Setiawan recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program at the Technology department within the Network & Service Platforms team. Yenni is originally from Indonesia, where she did her Bachelor in Electrical Engineering and afterwards worked as an Optimization Engineer at Motorola. At Motorala she was working within Operation and Maintenance team on the accounts of the largest network operators in Indonesia. During her three years of working in the Telecommunications industry she became passionate about extending her knowledge of the management and innovation process of high-tech organizations. Interested in developing herself within an international environment she chose to study Management of Technology at the TU Delft. Yenni did her master thesis at Microsoft Netherlands, where she developed a market assessment framework to evaluate the Software as a Service market in Western Europe. She has a passion for bridging technology and business by exploring the role of technology in decisions regarding corporate development as well as competitive positioning of firms Project description: For her first project she will be involved in the integration activities between Vodafone Netherlands and Germany. Willem Timmer CBU Market Insights – Consumer Base Management Background: Willem Timmer recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program at the Consumer Business Unit within the Market Insights team. Willem concluded his Bachelor in Business Administration, specializing in ‘Commercial Economics,’ at the Higher Vocational Education in Amsterdam. He proceeded to study at the University of Bath where he obtained his Master of Science in Marketing by writing a thesis on social marketing with as topic Influences on children’s food consumption patterns. Project description: Willem’s first project will involve the creation and start of a new program; Meet the Competition. In addition to Meet the Customer, Meet the Competition will stimulate the company to actively experience the products and services the competition is offering. The goal of this project is to increase the insights employees have of the products and the service levels of the direct competition. The objectives of the program are to make employees more aware of the shortcomings and benefits of the competition, to gain more information about competitive products that may have a significant impact on the business and to be able to offer what the competition is offering and take that a step further. Ilse Sleutjes CM E-Care Channel Management Background: Ilse Sleutjes recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program at the Customer Management department within the Channel Management team of E-care. Ilse recently obtained her of Innovation Management at the RSM Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Before this she concluded her Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Product Engineering (IPO). Although she still is very interested in Product Engineering, her passion is stimulating and cooperating with creative people to enhance joint innovation within a progressive company as Vodafone. During her studies she has learned the practical process of product development and the management/scientific aspects of innovation. She also participated in several (inter)national projects and the Erasmus Exchange Program to Bergen in Norway. Project description: Her first project for E-care will consist of the following activities: 1. An upgrade and analyses of the web-service benchmark upgrade 2.   14. 14. Tom Disveld CM Consumer Unit Background: Tom Disveld recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program the Customer Management department within the Consumer Unit team. Tom concluded his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Radboud University Nijmegen, before obtaining his Master of Science in Healthcare-management at the Twente University and Master of Science in Strategy at the Radboud University Nijmegen. After his studies he worked Kreps, a construction materials company in Saint Petersburg, Russia as a market researcher for a three month period. In his past time he likes to play sports actively (soccer and basketball) and he is a big fan of travelling to places he hasn’t been before (a real culture sniffing expert). Project description: His first project concerns consumer complaint handling. In this project the current complaint handling processes are analyzed and the viability of implementing a second line support team is evaluated. The implementation of such a team is expected to increase the first time fix ratio and the customer satisfaction level experienced. Besides this project Tom is active in the credit limit project where he re-assesses the current credit limits for postpaid, business and corporate customers in order to improve first time fix and speed up to process. Next to these two main projects he’s also providing benchmarks for service pricing projects on a regular base. Back to overview of all Freshers
  15. 15. Ashika Ramadhin EBU Market Insights Background: Ashika Ramadhin recently joined Vodafone in the Fresh program at the Enterprise Business Unit. Ashika did her Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration and two Masters in Business Administration at the Erasmus University’s Rotterdam School of Management specializing in Marketing Management and International Management. Additionally, she did three international internships and two academic exchanges. She did projects at IBM and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, and lived in Belgium, England and Switzerland for work and study. Ashika developed a passion for Marketing and Innovation, particularly new product development and improving people’s lives through Technology and Innovation, and is eager to engage in such projects at Vodafone. She already did a project for Vodafone’s Consumer Business Unit this past summer and got excited about the industry, the company culture and Vodafone’s business priorities: strengthening the relationship with customers, mobilizing the Internet and offering total solutions. Project description: For her first project Ashika is optimizing customer touch point research and is improving EBU’s knowledge management process. Back to overview of all Freshers
