  2. 2. Formal Recommendations <ul><li>A green initiatives committee should be formed. </li></ul><ul><li>Input should be sought. </li></ul><ul><li>Committee weighs the facts and comes up with recommendations. </li></ul>
  3. 3. Personal Recommendations <ul><li>Short Term (No Cost) </li></ul><ul><li>Long Term (Study Required) </li></ul>
  4. 4. Short Term: Environment <ul><li>(If not implemented), enact an ordinance to require the shut-down of aircraft APU’s while parked on a gate with functioning power and air conditioning/heating. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Short Term: Recycling and Waste <ul><li>Contact a consultant such as Airport Recycling Specialists www.airportrecycling.com 954-359-7782 or R. W. Beck & Associates www.rwbeck.com 317-575-2830 and inquire about a recycling and waste management program. </li></ul>
