  3. 3. Patterns <ul><li>A  pattern is a type of theme of recurring events or objects, sometimes referred to as elements of a  set  of objects. </li></ul><ul><li>The most basic patterns, called  Tessellations , are based on  repetition  and  periodicity .  </li></ul>
  4. 4. Patterns in Sound <ul><li>Created by repeating parts of the music many times. </li></ul><ul><li>This repetition, such as the chorus in a song, makes a piece easier to remember. </li></ul><ul><li>Eg, “Chan Mali Chan Hoi Hoi” </li></ul>
