  2. 2.  Absolute Location: ◦ Latitude: 35° 17' 0“ N ◦ Longitude: 139° 40' 1“ E  Coordinates listed as degrees, minutes, seconds
  3. 3.  Relative Location: Approximately 70 km from the capital of Japan: Tokyo.  Tokyo has an absolute location of 35° 41' 6“ N latitude and 139° 45' 5“ E longitude.
  4. 4.  Yokosuka, Japan is near the equator.  Somewhat has a mountainous terrain in some places.  Located near water.  Weather / Climate: ◦ Sometimes hot, other times cold. ◦ Chances of tsunamis and other natural disasters.
  5. 5.  People are modernized, have newer technology.  People build modernized cities and buildings.  Main Religions: Buddhist / Christian ◦ On military bases, usually the religion is mostly Christian
  6. 6.  Adaption ◦ People adapted to the environment in different ways. These ways included:  People used umbrellas more often to deal with both the weather when it was too hot or when it was raining too hard.  Also, their change of clothing represented that they were adapting to the weather. They wore more layers of clothing when it was cold and vice versa.
  7. 7.  Modification ◦ People also modified their environment for them to live in it. Some of these ways were:  People built towers for people to live in to prevent damage against water disasters such as tsunamis.  People made tunnels through mountains so that they could have faster ways to get to destinations.
  8. 8.  Depend (-ation?) ◦ People depended on their environment to live. Here are some of the ways:  People needed the seas to be able to export merchandise and goods such as automobiles.  People also depended on the oceans so that they could fish for aquatic animals for food.
  9. 9.  People move around by airplane, ship, cars, trains, and other land transportation.  Goods are shipped by planes and ships. Also, goods can be transported by people by means of mail, or selling and buying at stores.  Ideas are spread throughout the Internet as the generation today is focused on it. Other means of spreading ideas could include books and lectures.
  10. 10.  Political Region: ◦ It is part of Japan which is a constitutional monarchy.  Landform Region: ◦ Mountainous regions  Cultural Region: ◦ Kansai Region, southern central region of Honshū
