  2. 2. 1. Genre Characteristics<br />Thefirst feature of a music videos is that the genre is demonstrated. (e.g. stage performance in rock video, dance routine for boy/girl pop band). <br />
  3. 3. 2. Lyrics and visuals.<br />Thesecondfirst feature of a music videos is that there is a relationship between lyrics and visuals.<br /> This could be graphic graphic, strengthening or challenging towards the lyrics and visuals. <br />

Music and visuals.<br />The third feature of a music video is that there is a relationship between music and visuals.<br />This could also be graphic, strengthening or challenging towards the music and visuals.<br />An example of this could be on beat editing. This is shown in this video from 4:11-4:18 by the men walking down the stairs. <br />
  5. 5. 4. Record label<br />The fourth feature of a music video is the demands of the record label.<br />These will include the need for lots of close ups of the artist. This is so that if the band/artist are new then the audience will be able to see who the artist is or who is in the band. <br />Or images of the band/artist could be their banding. <br />
  6. 6. 5. Record label<br />The last feature of a music video is that there will be a reference in the video to idea of looking. This could be in the form or an eye, window, keyhole and etc.<br />
