The association was founded in 1951 with a singular purpose and passion - the responsible development and promotion of travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. We currently represent 82 NTO/regional tourism offices, major airline carriers, and the major international hospitality groups, who are at the forefront of an industry worth approximately US$1.3 trillion and many others. PATA is boasting 60 years of industry support coupled with the most comprehensive network of industry leaders and decision makers ranged from NTO, Carrier, Hospitality, Industry, Education, Travel Agent, OTA, Association etc. In addition, we offer a wide range of benefits, tools and insights designed to support your objectives and drive your business.
PATA's Committee meet twice a year to discuss key elements of our industry, determine what factors are driving change and listen to our members so we may focus on our responsibilities. The committee category are Government, Industry Council, Aviation, Hospitality, Young Tourism Professionals and Technology. Our focus is on creating an active, involved, cross-sectoral membership roster. In partnership with PATA’s private and public sector members, we enhance the sustainable growth, value and quality of travel and tourism to, from and within the region.
As a membership association, we give priority to PATA's members in terms of speaking engagement at association organized events or invited industry events, also to promote members' business on PATA's website and weekly newsletter which reach out to all PATA's extensive network, to facilitate networking globally as we have more than 40 local Chapters and members worldwide.
On top of that, we also offer discounted member rate for PATA's events and endorsed events.
