1. 1. The Inbetweeners Movie
By Charlotte Sayers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3HzTKbsqsY
trailer
2. 2. How effectively does it use trailer conventions
A lot of dialogue has been used in this trailer. There is dialogue in most shots. The dialogue is between at least two people. “Now you’ve been dumped, we can all go on a mental holiday together.” The dialogue that has been used goes against how trailers are normally presented. If trailers have dialogue they are usually one liners. The dialogue that has been used doesn’t give to much of the plot away although there is a lot of it.
They have used transitions with text on that helps you understand the plot more. And also intrigues you as to why, and what is going to happen.
The title of the film has been left to the very end with ‘coming soon’ - this keeps you watching the trailer because you might not have seen it anywhere before.
3. 3. What details does it convey to the audience about the film? How does it do this?
The trailer informs you that it’s a comedy. It does this by including several one liners throughout the clip.
In every clip there is a punch line
You get a detailed clip of that particular character, so you feel as if you know there personality by the end of the trailer.
4. 4. What is the USP and who is the intended audience?
The unique selling point of this film is the cast. They are very popular from the television series of The Inbetweeners, that’s why there has been demand for this movie.
The audience for this film is teenagers. Simply because the main cast are playing teenagers, so they audience can easy relate to them.
