Responsible for the daily maintenance of all machinery and assists the rig
Mechanic as needed.
Monitors fuel and oil levels in engines and sound tanks to ensure accurate records
are kept for daily reports.
Performs routine rig maintenance as required with specific attention to all engines.
In charge in equipment preparation for impending drilling operations.
Maintain a clean and orderly equipments and tools.
Maintain cleanliness in and around engines, VFD room mechanical shop and
maintain sufficient inventory of fuel, water, oil, filters, lubricants, maintain record
of running hours, and reading of engines, pumps, drawworks, TDS, maintain fuel,
oil, water level, lubricate equipments periodically
Perform duties assigned during drilling, work-over and completion operations.
Know the location and understand the operation and maintenance of the well
control equipment, blowout preventer, accumulator and firefighting equipments.
Assist in handling daily rig activities and maintenance problems.
Knowledgeable and experience with all safety policies and procedures.
Informs and updates the key personnel regarding incidents, near hits, potential
hazards or abnormal situations.
Able to operate and drive heavy equipment.
