  7. 7. <ul><li>Type of project : W orkshops and accompanying trainer's manuals, survey and analysis </li></ul><ul><li>Target group : Y outh members of communities, unions, NGOs, students’ organisations and local government </li></ul><ul><li>Duration : 12 months </li></ul><ul><li>Geographic coverage : 7 regions in Kosovo: Prishtina, Gjakova, Prizren, Peja, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Ferizaj </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>To promote public participation and civic involvement of youth in the decision-making processes on the local level; </li></ul><ul><li>To encourage youth from different ethnic groups to co-operate and run joint advocacy campaigns with special emphasis on European integration and good governance; </li></ul><ul><li>To improve knowledge and skills for running advocacy campaigns; </li></ul><ul><li>To improve skills for developing resources and services for advocacy and public awareness on European citizenship; </li></ul>Objectives
  9. 9. <ul><li>14 youngsters from different communities will be trained to be trainers for advocacy campaigning, reporting and civic education. In teams of two, these young trainers will carry through local workshops in their respective communities. The workshop will serve as local forum for raising debates on accountability, government transparency & performance, public awareness and participation in decision-making. CEYPA will use these local workshops also as focus groups in collecting qualitative data on electoral behaviour, community attitudes and trends on social change etc. These data will be included in the weekly reports as part of a live broadcast of a programme focused on active citizenship. During the framework of BAEC project two publications are foreseen to be developed and used as resources: the &quot;Networking for Democratic Change - an Advocacy Training Manual&quot; and &quot;T-Kit on European Citizenship [1] &quot;.
