Key messages • Mobilisation of private finance is pathway for realizing impact at scale • Develop quality business cases with impact investors, banks and companies focusing on climate actions • Establish partnerships between financial institutions, TA providers and companies to forge solutions and complement public initiatives • Use climate information & projections to better understand impact of climate change on potential investments • Increasing knowledge of financial service providers about opportunities and risks in financing climate actions • Define and advocate for public sector actions to de-risk/facilitate private investments and support marginal areas • Develop mechanisms and new financial products to absorb initial uncertainties 7
